Thanks for confirming exactly what the error means, goes a long way in explaining what we need to check. Also thanks for the suggested ini settings. We've been performing some testing on VM machines to sense check the change of domain, and I'm betting there is a reference somewhere that is pointing to a server that is not part of the VM test!!.
